Happy Ears earplugs look different than any other earplug for a reason; Superior design. With no filters or mechanics, Happy Ears has designed a discreet and reusable earplug with the most even attenuation of any non-custom made earplug. This is fact.

What's Attenuation?

Attenuation is the reduction of volume across frequencies. Happy Ears even attenuation means volume is reduced evenly across all frequencies, leaving users with a natural sound versus a muffled or "muddy" sound. Happy Ears reduce total volume by 25 dB. Some earplugs reduce total volume more, but that doesn't mean they're better earplugs. Happy Ears even attenuation means you can sleep, but hear your child cry in the night, attend a concert and experience superb sound quality (at a lower volume), ride a motorcycle and safely "hear" the road, travel and hear in-flight instructions or work in an open office space with less irritating background noise while maintaining the ability to communicate with your colleagues.

The graph above is a measurement of attenuation depicting Happy Ears, a professional custom made earplug and a standard foam earplug. Happy Ears attenuation is depicted in the red line. The more even the line, the more even the attenuation. The more even the attenuation the better, or more natural, the sound. You can see Happy Ears offer significantly better attenuation than foam and nearly the sames as a professional custom fitted earplug.
